Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) - Central Excise

The function of the committee is purely advisory as the committee is intended for resolving the procedural difficulties of general nature. The committee however also discusses matters including the policy behind individual cases but excluding the individual cases themselves, judicial and semi judicial matters. The committee normally meets once in a quarter. This committee is headed by the Commissioner of Central Excise as its Chairman with other members being part of Trade & Industry.

Public Grievances Committee (PGC) - Central Excise

In order to settle the grievance of the public expeditiously. The Committee will take up/discuss the grievances of the trade/public. All the members of the Trade/Public may utilise this facility and get their grievances redressed through Public Grievance Committee. The committee normally meets once in a quarter. This committee is headed by the Commissioner of Central Excise as its Chairman with other members being part of Trade & Industry.
